What to Expect

Forget burnt sausages, hockey puck burgers and everyone crowding round the BBQ pretending they know what they're doing.

Our General BBQ Class is a full day of hands-on cooking where you'll learn the skills that actually make a difference. We'll cover everything from lighting your BBQ properly and managing temperature to cooking incredible meat, fish and vegetables on the grill.

We'll also dive into seasoning, rubs, sauces and flavour-building, along with plenty of tips, tricks and the little details that separate a decent BBQ from one people won't stop talking about.

There's no standing at the back watching someone else cook. You'll be getting stuck in from the moment the fires are lit, with plenty of food, laughs and the opportunity to ask as many questions as you like.

Come hungry, leave inspired, and prepare to become the person everyone expects to cook at every family gathering from now on.

• Different style of grills, getting the most out of what you own on the day
• Meat preparation
• Using the rotisserie grill
• Two zone cooking
• Cooking to temperature and not to time
• Using flavourings and glazing with sauces
• Using charcoal, electric, wood pellet and gas grills
• Using smoking woods to adapt flavour

The Menu

Learn to create delectable dishes such as:

• Breakfast brisket tacos with a chipotle cream
• Chicken lollipops in barbecue sauce
• DIY pork belly slices with seasonal vegetables
• South American style picanha with Salsa Criollo and charred lime halves
• Smoked Eton mess

The school is based off road and can be tricky to find.  Using a sat nav follow the instructions to Spout Lane and follow the quiet road until you see and army base pill box on your right hand side and there is a right hand turn very shortly after this.  Follow the lane all the way to the top and you will find us waiting for you at Slough Hall.

Parking is limited, we will help you park on the day but wherever possible please do car share.
